About Us Page
Throughout the site, the bright smiling faces of Bowie tutors and students of all ages project the warm and inviting personality of the Center.
With a rich 25-year history, it was time for The Bowie Center to upgrade its web presence to more accurately reflect the quality, professionalism and dedication of their tutoring services. Listening closely to The Bowie Center’s business challenges and vision, we stepped back to rethink not only the look-and-feel but overall content and navigation of the site. In order to make the website work harder for the Center, we looked first to SEO (search engine optimization) and ways of ensuring the site ranked high in online search, and brought forward Bowie’s tutoring programs front and center with strong CTAs (calls-to-action). An online registration form was developed to provide a swift and easy way to register for tutoring services. Additionally, we added a blog feature to the site to present Bowie as experts in education, tutoring and college entrance testing, and to provide Bowie a means for easily updating the site with fresh content, further enhancing SEO. The Bowie Center logo was refreshed to bring it up to date and help it translate better in on-screen applications. Look-and-feel extended to choosing appropriate and adaptable fonts and a color palette that supported the brand while also performing functionally online. Within a few days of launch, more than 10 online registrations immediately poured in — three of which found the Center via online search. Behind the scenes, the site was completely re-coded and migrated to a new web hosting service with built-in security, daily backups, and malware protection.
